Physiotherapy

Physiotherapy is a healthcare profession that involves registered physiotherapists who are members of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists and regulated by the Health Care Professions Council. Its primary goal is to enhance mobility, functional ability, quality of life, and movement potential of individuals through comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and physical intervention.

Physiotherapy uses a holistic and logical approach to support individuals of all ages and abilities to achieve their health and activity objectives in daily activities, sports, and work environments. Musculoskeletal Physiotherapists are specialized in assessing and treating a broad range of soft tissue injuries like muscle, ligament, and tendon sprains or strains, lower back and neck injuries, chronic conditions like arthritic joints, longstanding conditions, and post-operative treatment and rehabilitation like joint replacements, fractures, ligament repairs, or spinal surgery.

After the assessment, the physiotherapist will explain the nature of the problem and encourage the individual to take responsibility for their health and well-being. Treatment may involve techniques such as joint mobilization and manipulation, soft tissue massage, myofascial release, electrotherapy like ultrasound, kinesiology taping, and rehabilitation exercises tailored to your individual needs for long-term prevention.
